"Your monthly rhythm is a compass, an inner guide, a tool of transformation" - DeAnna L'am
Mizan (pronounced like Milan) is an Arabic word that means balance. By using traditional reproductive healing techniques, Mizan Therapists seek to restore balance when life feels unbalanced – physically, emotionally or spiritually.
“There is no other organ quite like the uterus. If men had such an organ they would brag about it. So should we” – Ina May Gaskin

Good for you, good for baby
Many of the problems that we take for granted and accept as a normal part of being pregnant can be prevented. Mizan Therapy helps to relieve many complaints.
Mizan Therapy benefits for men
Although men (obviously!) do not have a uterus, they benefit greatly from increased blood supply to the pelvic region.
Mizan uses traditional healing techniques to address conditions involving reproductive organs, the digestive system and emotional health. These techniques are commonly used in India and further east for optimising women’s health. It is a gentle, external massage that brings healing to the womb space and optimum health and well-being to women on both physical and emotional levels.
I trained as an Arvigo Massage Therapist with Rosita Arvigo in 2002. Having treated clients from many different ethnic backgrounds I found that abdominal massage was not exclusive to the people of South America. Further enquiries and training have led me to bring different modalities into a new form – Mizan Therapy.
